Ying Jiang is the professor from National Center for Protein Science (Beijing), State Key Laboratory of Proteomics, Beijing, China. Her lab has focused on liver proteomics. This includes understanding the physiology of liver and the pathology of live diseases. Dr. Jiang participated in the international collaborative Human Liver Proteome Project (HLPP) and contributed to the construction of the cell type resolved liver proteome. It reveals the interaction and regulation mechanism between the liver cells during the liver physiology and pathology. She also systematically investigated the differentially expressed proteins in the progress of liver diseases (such as adiposis hepatica, hepatitis, fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma). Proteomic study uncover cholesterol esterification enzyme as a new target for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma patients with poor prognosis. Currently, she is working to realize proteomics-driven precision medicine.
